A Tribute to the Help and Support of Local Pubs and Restaurants for Collecting Glass Waste

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the pubs and restaurants who have generously supported me in collecting over 1.5 tonnes of glass bottles. If you've enjoyed a meal or a drink at any of these establishments since last year, please know that your contribution to glass waste will now be immortalised in a Grade II  listed building, at the Buttermarket in Redruth in Cornwall, come summer 2024. A great thank you to all the guests who contributed to the glass production.

Over the past 6 months, I've meticulously removed labels, cleaned, crushed and prepped these glass bottles all by hand. The goal? To prepare the stock needed for crafting 100% recycled glass tiles. A total of 800! These tiles will soon be fitted the walls of the newly refurbished Buttermarket in Redruth, Cornwall, adding both beauty and sustainability to the space.

Thank you to all staff The Mardy Inn, Seagers Restaurants, No.1 High St, The grillhouse, Old Inn, The Buck Inn and The Reverend James with the help and support in collecting 1.5tonnes of Glass bottles, that will be repurposed into an art installation for the Buttermarket, a Grade II listed building in Cornwall.
